Newton's First Law... Revisited!

“An object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by an external force.”

Yup, I’m taking us back to high school physics.  Do you recognize this?  It’s Newton’s First Law of Motion. Back then, we memorized this law so we could pass a quiz.  Now, with over a decade of life experience under our belts, it’s worth stopping for a moment to think about the essence of this law once again, not as to how it relates to protons, electrons and neutrons, but in terms of how it determines the course of our life, our achievements, and our relationships.

We determine the trajectory of our life with our type and level of energy every day.   Yes, I know you’re saying, “Duh, Sunny!”  -But I’m serious.  We will keep going up, down, or remain in the same place based on this most integral ingredient in our lives: our energy

We can all visualize a downward trajectory... but erase that… and visualize an upward one.  Keep this image of a positive life-course in your mind, and consider how you can very easily lift your life’s path to slope upwards and continue in this direction by using your indefatigable, undeterred positive energy as the external force.

The beauty of causing this upward-trending trajectory?  Positive inertia.  The more we engage in creative projects, the more we will continue to do so.  The more we focus on health in our diets and lives, the easier it becomes to continue with our healthy habits.  The more we focus on the positive characteristics of our loved ones, the more we will see and experience these positive aspects in our relationships.

So begin.  Now.  Silence any opposition that your mind may raise, dive into your inner ocean of positive energy, and change the course of your life.

-You’ll see… Newton was right :)

  1. Sunny, very nicely said! This is true about focusing on the positive traits of our loved ones helping to create that positive inertia. Thanks for the great outlook and comparison!
